Here's what we were working with - a beautifully designed double vanity with marble countertops, arched brass mirrors, and matching brass fixtures. The hardware was already doing a lot of the heavy lifting aesthetically. But the lighting? It needed to match that same level of intention.
The homeowner had handmade brass sconce shades - pieces that were clearly chosen with care. Our job was to wire them up properly and make sure the light output actually did those shades justice. We used LED tape internally and paired everything with a new driver-dimmer switch so the glow could be dialed in just right.
That dimmer detail matters more than people realize. A vanity space pulls double duty - bright enough for getting ready in the morning, soft enough for a relaxed evening atmosphere. Getting that range right is the difference between lighting that works for you and lighting that just exists.
The result is a warm, layered glow that plays off the brass and bounces through the decorative cutwork on the shades. The pattern it casts on the wall adds texture to the whole space without anything feeling overdone. Clean, intentional, polished.
This is exactly the kind of custom lighting installation we enjoy. When a fixture has real character and the right wiring brings it to life - that's a satisfying outcome. If you've got a fixture, a vision, or just an upgrade in mind, we're comfortable working through the details to get it right.
